In this work Serlin documents her grandmother while she is asleep in her bed, a few months before her death. The video looks like a stills picture, but every once in a while the blanket rises from the motion of the grandmother’s breath. The work is placed in a space with a single chair that conceptualizes the long sitting while the artist sat watching and documenting her grandmother in moments that will not return.
